1st of May in Havana

1st of May in Havana (Raul Castro giving speech to celebrate my bday 😛)
.
Except he didn’t gave speech this time, only greeted people on parade, waving his hat from protocol…
.
I have never seen this much of Turkish people scattered in a foreign country, waving Turkish flags around.
.
And I’ve never seen this much of foreigners, trying to exchange Turkish flag with Cuban flags.
.
Truthfully, they like us much in Latin America generally, give special attention, anywhere I go, though they know us well or not at all. Weird, huh?
.
Maybe not at all, if you look at history of both places during last 60 years… What happened there, happened here. What happened here, happened there…
.
1st of May is celebrated as a festival in Cuba. Everybody enjoys that day, very happily and united together. No fight against police, no anger, no disappointment, no suffer… Feelings of the world peace fills the street together, whoever you are. Though, Cubans are generally united people, who are more into nature and connected to each other and their surroundings spiritually, and philosophically.
.
There’s a saying something like that if i remember correct,
“You can’t believe what you’ll achieve together, if you don’t care about who’ll get the credit…”
.
I’m not a person who likes to enjoy my bday with common, boring, similar cake events, reoccurring every year. There’s nothing to celebrate my bday until i accomplish something worthwhile in our busy ant colony for the rest of the ants.
.
I just like to “Share” the merry energy of the moment together with my friends and unknown people together hand to hand, which is unique, just like today in Cuba… Why do we live? Not to experience happiness in these moments? I can bake my cake and invite friends, but can i re-experience moments during eating that cake together with people, where the cake is only an indirect reason to taste the “time” flowing around you? Just like changing photos of your photo album and finding yourself reliving…
.
“Good morning,
Oh and in case i don’t see you,
Good afternoon, good evening and goodnight”😊
As Truman says in the movie Truman Show, by Jim Carrey.
