Monument of Atatürk in Santiago de Chile

Monument of Atatürk in Santiago de Chile, placed in the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of Republic of Turkey (29 Sep 1973), adorned with stones similar to in Ankara. His close friend İ. İnönü describes him in the monument with the following writing: (TUR/ENG/SPA)

“Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin kurucusu, vatanın fedakar ve sadık hizmetkarı, benzeri olmayan kahraman, insanlık idealinin canlı emsali. Bütün hayatını Türk Milletine vakfetmiş, milletine kendi ruhunu, ateşini vermiştir.
Hatırası milletinin ruhunu ateşli tutan sönmez bir meşale olarak yaşamaktadır”

“Founder of the Republic of Turkey, selfless and faithful servant of his homeland, unparalleled hero and living symbol of the ideal of humanity. Dedicated his whole life to the nation Turkish and inspires his people with fire of his spirit.
His memory will endure like an inextinguishable torch keeping the spirit of his people in flames”

“Fundador de la República de Turquía, abnegado y fiel servidor de su patria, héroe sin par y símbolo vivo del ideal de la humanidad. Consagró su vida entera a la nación Turca e inspira a su pueblo con el fuego de su espíritu.
